If you asked me a few years ago when this blush was released, if I would like to try the liquid version of the iconic Orgasm blush from Nars, it would be a hard pass from me. Liquid blush?! Nah, thanks, powder all the way. Funny how that changed. In 2023, I am obsessing over cream and liquid blushes more than I ever did over powdery ones. I had my eye on the liquid blush from Nars for a while now and since I run out of my other liquid blush, It was time to give an Orgasm a go (could Nars perhaps rename their most iconic shade so sentences like this sound less dirty?🤣).
It comes in a 15ml glass bottle with a black pump and lid. The box and the cover both say “shake properly” which I, of course, ignored the first time I used this blush so my initial impression was that the blush is way too runny and the pigment is not that great. A couple of shakes later, all was fixed. The moral of the story: shake the blush well.
The blush offers a beautiful pink shade, kind of Barbie meets baby pink. The liquid itself looks rich and matte but once blended into the skin, it reveals a warm shimmer that creates the sun-kissed blushed look. I apply the blush either with a beauty sponge or with my fingers and it blends in easily either way.
The shade I picked is great and I get why so many people like it. It works on bare skin and on makeup too and I believe it will suit most skin fair tones. It can be applied gradually to achieve a more intense look.
Overall, I am chuffed and I regret not trying this blush earlier. There are other shades available so even if you are not a baby pink kind of gal, you should find your match. As you can probably tell, I absolutely recommend it. Perhaps this blush can be something you (mums) can spend your mother's day voucher on.
