Lately, I have been very susceptible to advertisements and general presence on social media. I am not sure why that is as I used to be quite resilient, and I was not as easily influenced. I have been seeing a perfume all over Instagram and it has been labelled as a “French girl’s scent”. It is the Musc Noir Rose from Narciso Rodriguez. So many people have been raving about this fragrance, so I finally gave in despite the composition not being exactly what I usually look for in a perfume.
This women's perfume comes in three sizes, the usual 30 ml, 50 ml and
100 ml. I have picked the smallest size. I have loads of travels planned for this
year still and 30ml bottles are just the most practical. The perfume comes in a
beautiful rectangular bottle dark rose bottle. It matches the scent perfectly.
Top Notes: Bergamot, Pink Pepper
Middle Notes: Musk, Tuberose
Base Notes: Vanilla, Patchouli, Suede
The scent falls onto the heavier side. The top seems fresh
and fruity thanks to the bergamot, but it quickly turns into a much warmer scent
with a hint of spice. The Vanilla at the base gives the perfume a sweet
undertone.
There are days I could wear it as a day perfume but mostly
it is an evening scent for me. It gives me the expensive grown-up vibe with a hint
of rebelliousness. This perfume truly gives you dark feminine energy. It
lasts a whole day and for me, personally, one or two spritzes are enough. If I go
heavier (meaning cover myself from top to bottom in the perfume), the musk
comes out too heavy for my taste.
It is such an interesting scent and I get why people like it
so much. Musc Noir Rose is my first perfume from Narciso Rodriguez and I am now keen to explore the rest of their scents.
The musk would usually be a no-go for me so I am grateful I went against
my initial gut reaction and decided to try this Instagram-viral perfume. Mother's day is just around the corner so you can always treat your mum to a gift voucher and perhaps suggest trying this perfume.
There is one thing I am dying to find out from you – if you are a Parisian girl, do you really own this fragrance? 😃
