As a beauty enthusiast, I could not miss the brand-new perfume from Prada. The triangular-shaped bottle has been all over social media lately. No wonder! It’s been a while since Prada had a fragrance release and picking Emma Watson as the face of the perfume definitely has some positive influence. Without further ado, let me introduce you to the Prada Paradoxe.
I am usually not a huge fan of Prada perfumes. I find most of them too powdery but I had a sniff of the Paradoxe scent at the airport and I fell in love instantly. It comes in several sizes ranging from 30ml to 50ml and 90ml bottles. There is also a refill option.
The bottle is triangular to represent the Prada logo. I think that's a really good idea as it makes the bottle recognisable yet still practical.
The perfume is sweet and fruity, but it then transforms into a floral scent with a hint of spice. It is one of the scents that lasts for hours without giving you a headache. I can smell a sweet pear at the top, which then transforms into clean and fresh cotton (and yes, I know there is cotton in the scent pyramid lol).
Top notes: Pear, Tangerine, Calabrian Bergamot
Middle notes: Neroli, Orange Blossom, Jasmine Sambac
Base notes: Amber, Benzoin, Madagascar Vanilla, White Musk
The fragrance is very feminine and young. It is warmer so it will be perfect for the upcoming winter, however, I can imagine this to go well into the spring and summer months too thanks to the sweet fruity touches.
I really like this perfume and so far, this is one of the best releases of 2022.
