It’s been tough. I am not going to lie. The fact that the lockdown is still nowhere near the end is a tough pill for me to swallow and although I am trying to stay positive, I feel down. Today I just want to do something simple and easy - a haul.
I’ve been struggling with buying some basics from the main drugstores. They either do not deliver and you have to pick the order up (well I live in the middle of nowhere, and I do not drive) or a majority of stuff is sold out. That’s where Notino comes in. I usually turn to Notino when it comes to makeup and perfumes. However, this shop has my back even with chemist's basics. Notino is well stocked up and delivers to your door without any issues (I had to wait one extra day compared to the usual but that was it). God bless you, Notino.
I’ve never seen so many people interested in washing their hands - let’s hope people will stick with it even when this is over (you would be surprised how many people do not wash their hands after using a toilet in public places. So please, wash your hands). I usually keep one or two handsoaps from Dermacol around regardless of a global pandemic. This time I picked my favourite watermelon and decided to try a chocolate orange soap. And yes, it smells exactly like Terry’s chocolate orange. I am officially obsessed.
Another pick of mine is this gorgeous shower gel once again from Dermacol. The tropical scent of papaya is perfect for the upcoming summer.
I don’t know how about you, but I am missing my hairdresser dearly and I am trying to do all in my power to keep my hair somewhat ok looking. I picked the Colorista Silver Shampoo from L’oreal to help prevent the inevitable yellow tones my hair is suffering from at the minute. I am going to talk about this a bit more at some point because this shampoo is fantastic.
Speaking of haircare, I decided to give the Ironing hairbrush. I’ve heard it is much better for your hair than the hair strengthener and I have to say so far so good - I will talk about it in the near future as well.
I am very picky when it comes to toothbrushes and I use almost exclusively toothbrushes from Curaprox (and electronic one occasionally). I am not going to pretend that every day I am counting every minute until I can go and brush my teeth but super soft brushes from Curaprox make the whole process of toothbrushing nearly an enjoyable experience. And I could not forget about a mouthwash. Listerine is my go-to brand but I quite enjoy Colgate or Aquafresh as well.
Not exactly an essential, but I also added a couple of sheet masks from Mizon. Selfcare is still very important and taking ten minutes to relax with a sheet mask on is a perfect way to do it.
Last but not least, did you know Notino is still stocked up with hand gels? I picked this little guy from Spiritime but there are other brands and hand gels you can choose from.
Stay safe and keep the distance ❤️
